A Whitley County teacher badly injured while trying to break up a fight between students is now out of intensive care.

According to a FaceBook page set up by Dewayne Bunch's family, he will start therapy again soon.

Bunch suffered a brain injury in April, after he fell and hit his head on the floor at Whitley County High School while breaking up the fight.

Bunch is also a state representative.

He's being treated at a rehabilitation center in Atlanta but is set to be moved to Cardinal Hill Hospital in the coming weeks.
