Technical problem causes delay in murder trial

A technical problem in a Perry County courtroom causes a delay in a murder trial.

Perry County Commonwealth's Attorney Teresa Reed says there was failure in the circuit courtroom Monday morning which prevented the proceedings from being recorded.

Police say 36-year-old Lester Hurt of Bonnyman killed Julius Williams last October.

Hurt allegedly ran over Williams with his car after a dispute.

Court officials have called in people from Frankfort to help fix the problem and say the trial could begin soon.
