ASHLAND, Ky. (WYMT)- Digital devices are now allowed in Ashland classrooms. The Independent reports Charles Russell Elementary is the first of Ashland's schools to allow students to bring smartphones, tablets, and iPads to class.
District director of Instructional Technology Cary Williams says the rest of the schools will follow suit.
Officials say this allows students to learn using technology without being a financial burden to the district.
