Teen arrested on drug charges in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ky. (WYMT/WSAZ) -- An 18-year-old Ashland man was arrested Wednesday night on drug charges after allegedly selling pain medication to an undercover officer, according to a Boyd County Sheriff's Department news release.

Danny J. Halley II, 18, was arrested just after 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 3100 block of Carter Avenue. He was charged with first-degree trafficking of a controlled substance, fleeing and evading officers and resisting arrest.

Deputies say Halley sold oxycodone 30 milligram tablets to an undercover officer with the Boyd County Sheriff's Department Drug Task Force. Deputies say Halley ran away and was later caught along Carter Avenue where he attempted to resist arrest.

Halley was taken to the Boyd County Detention Center.
