Texas reporter alleges firing over stripper work

HOUSTON (AP) - A former reporter for the Houston Chronicle has
filed a gender discrimination complaint with the U.S. Equal
Employment Opportunity Commission alleging she was fired because
she failed to disclose she also worked as an exotic dancer.
Sarah Tressler alleges she was fired by the newspaper in March
for not indicating on her employment application her other job as a
stripper.
Tressler and her attorney, celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred,
announced the filing of the complaint at a Los Angeles news
conference Thursday.
The Houston Chronicle declined to comment on the complaint. The
EEOC says it can't confirm or deny whether Tressler's complaint was
received.
Tressler worked as a society reporter for the newspaper from
January through March.
