Triangle Park in downtown Hazard was buzzing with folks who came out to the Run for the Hills charity challenge kick off today.
The Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky started its third annual local challenge campaign, hosting different health vendors and registration for the run.
The Foundation's goal for the campaign is to raise money with 15 non-profit partners and to increase the sense of community in the county.
"It's really good way for us to pull together and say we believe in Perry County," said Foundation Director Gerry Roll, "We want to keep Perry County strong. So we'll raise this money together. and keep it right here at home."
Roll says last years campaign raised almost $200,000, and they hope to top that this year.
