A Prestonsburg landmark may not be closing after all.
Earlier this month, we told you about the possible closure of the Strand Twin Theater's.
It’s the only movie theater in the city of Prestonsburg.
The Floyd County Times is now reporting a buyer, who asked the paper to not be identified, has shown interest in buying the theater and continuing operations.
If the agreement is finalized, the Strand Theater would remain open on weekends until March when operation hours would be expanded to seven days a week.
