JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Three Johnson County men are behind bars on meth charges.

Johnson County sheriff's deputies say they were serving indictment warrants when they noticed Lucas Moore, Donnis Skaggs and Jason Owens smoking something next to a car.

Police checked the car and say they found an active meth lab inside.

"The chances are of getting caught with them are less than being in a house, or a hotel room, or an apartment or something like that where somebody can smell the chemical smell, so a lot of them put them in a vehicle," said Johnson County Chief Deputy Kevin Pelphrey.

All three are charged with manufacturing meth and are being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
