Three senior citizen centers honored

EASTERN Ky. (WYMT) - Three eastern Kentucky senior centers are being recognized for their service.

One of them is the Hazard Perry County Senior Citizens' Center, which was named the senior center of the year in the category of 50-plus participants per day.

The Kentucky River Area Development District or KRADD, also handed similar awards to senior centers in Breathitt and Wolfe Counties in the under 50 participants category.

“They strive to do the best they can for the seniors. They come up with a lot of things to do for them and I'm just really proud of them for all the effort they put toward all the things they do,” Stacie Noble said.

Those centers are now nominated to compete for best in the state.
