Traffic stop leads to drug related arrests

A routine traffic stop in Perry County results in the confiscation of drugs and cash!

The Hazard-Herald reports that police pulled over Bruce Combs and Sammy Watts for a seatbelt violation, but soon discovered much more.

Police say they found Combs with nearly 140 prescription pills that did not belong to him and nearly $1,500 in cash.

Police charged Combs with first degree drug trafficking in a controlled substance.

The passenger, Sammy Watts, was charged with possession of marijuana and public intoxication.
