Trial date set for men charged in hate crime

We now know the trial date for two men charged in a violent hate crime.

The trial of David and Anthony Jenkins is scheduled to begin on June 18th in London.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says the two kidnapped a man in Harlan County and severely beat him because he is gay.

Prosecutors say this is the first federal case involving the sexual orientation section of the hate crimes law.
