Troopers named in lawsuit

HARLAN, Ky. (WYMT) - A Harlan County man filed a lawsuit against two state police troopers.

The troopers arrested Richard Green in Pathfork on January 23rd.

In the lawsuit, Green claims Troopers James Earl Hensley and Jimmy Halcomb did not let him put on clothes before the arrest and then had to stand outside in freezing temperatures in front of strangers.

Green also claims the troopers wanted to retaliate against him for a post Green put on facebook.

“According to his allegations, it was purposeful and willful of the troopers and extremely egregious if those allegations are substantiated,” Attorney Douglas Asher said.

State police have not received the lawsuit yet but are not allowed to comment on pending litigation.
