HINDMAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Twelve people face charges after a year long drug investigation by the Knott County Sheriff's Department and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program, a federally funded agency.
Twelve indictments were served today which included eight new arrests. Charges include manufacturing methamphetamine, endangering the welfare of a minor, and trafficking a controlled substance.
"There are very few families that haven't been affected by this drug stuff so we will continue to try to stay after it. So we just ask that they keep giving us these tips and we'll keep trying to follow up," said Dale Richardson, the Knott County Sheriff.
The Knott County Sheriff's Office is still looking to serve five more indictments as part of the investigation.
