Two arrested because of a bizarre series of events

Williamsburg, Kentucky - Two men from Georgia are now in the Whitley County jail because of a bizarre series of events Wednesday afternoon.

It began on Brown's Creek Road North of Williamsburg when police received complaints of a driver ramming into people's cars.

Police later found 26 year old Godfray Finley, who claimed others were after him.

He also told them of a man who was with him who jumped out of his car on to the interstate.

Police later found that man, Alex Poole, then while being led into the sheriff's office, officers say Poole tried to pull out a gun.

"The mannerism that he attempted to bring the weapon out, would indicate that he may have wanted to use it."

Police say Poole was also found with substances they believe are marijuana and crystal meth.

Both Finley and Poole were arrested.

Police say Finley was wanted out of Georgia on forgery charges.
