Two arrested for wanton endangerment

PIKEVILLE, Ky (WYMT) - Police arrested two people this afternoon in connection to leaving a child unattended in a vehicle.

Pikeville Dispatch received a complaint that a 4 month old was left unattended in a vehicle in front of Velocity Market on Hambley Boulevard.

Police say the vehicle was not running, and the windows were cracked. They say the child was sweating profusely and had a red skin tone, and was transported to Pikeville Medical Center.

Police arrested 34 year old Deana Keene of Shelbiana with wanton endangerment and public intoxication, and 37 year old Elvis Keene of Shelbiana with wanton endangerment and drug possession.

Both are in the Pike County Detention Center.
