HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Authorities say two people were shot and killed and a teen wounded in the parking lot of Hazard Community & Technical College.

A police dispatcher told The Associated Press the shooting happened Tuesday afternoon at Hazard Community & Technical college in Hazard, Ky.

The dispatcher spoke on condition of anonymity because the coroner on site was the only official allowed to be quoted by name.

The dispatcher said the injured teen was being taken to the University of Kentucky hospital.

Two people were taken into custody. Only one is believed to be the shooter.

Officials say that this shooting was not related to the school.

Hazard Police Chief Minor Allen believes that an argument “spilled over to the campus”

Hazard Police are planning a news conference for 9pm at City Hall.
