Two key rulings announced in Purdue Pharma case

Pike County - Attorney General Jack Conway announced two key rulings in the Commonwealth's case against Purdue Pharma on Monday.

Purdue filed a motion to change the venue of the case from Pike County to Franklin County. General Conway opposed and Pike County Court Judge Steven Combs ruled the case will stay in Pike County.

Also, Purdue asked the court to allow it to withdraw admissions the company made when they failed to respond to pleadings in the case. The court denied this motion.

The case involves the alleged illegal marketing of Oxycotin.
