Two killed in Perry County crash

HAZARD, Ky (WYMT) - Two people are dead after a crash in Perry County Thursday afternoon.

The head on crash happened on Kentucky 15 near Glomawr.

Traffic was at a standstill for nearly two hours Thursday afternoon as several law enforcement agencies worked to clean up the scene of a deadly accident

The front and sides of one of the cars were completely crushed and the other was flipped upside-down in a ditch on the side of the road

The deputy coroner says 77-year old Reba Amburgery and 20-year-old April Robinson, both in separate cars, were killed in the crash. One man had to be airlifted to the hospital.

Police have not released the name or condition of the man who was airlifted to a trauma center.
