BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Two southern Kentucky sisters will be dancing onstage this month in Tennessee as they perform in "Nashville's Nutcracker" presented by the Nashville Ballet.

The Broekema sisters, 14-year-old Kasey and 12-year-old Gabi, will perform alongside professional dancers in the double-cast production that began Sunday and runs through Dec. 23. Kasey will play a bon bon and Clara while Gabi will play a party girl.

Although being chosen means lots of trips from their Bowling Green home to Nashville in order to rehearse, their parents say they are glad to do it.

Tim Broekema told the Daily News that he's just glad his girls have a passion and can follow it.

The sisters will appear in the Dec. 16 and Dec. 23 shows at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
