WYMT Severe Weather Alert

More storms are firing up off to our west and will be moving in our general direction. Most should be below the severe threshold, but some could bring some strong wind and hail. We will be monitoring the system throughout the night and will update you as needed.

Two arrested for a pair of robberies

A robbery attempt helped investigators solve a different hold up.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office says Michelle Murphy, 37, and Michael North, 34, tried to rob a Family Dollar Saturday night in Bell County.

Deputies quickly stopped and arrested them. Investigators say the pair also robbed Mac's Filling Station in Laurel County on December 30.

They both face robbery charges.
