WYMT Severe Weather Alert

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for all of Southeastern Kentucky until 10pm tonight. The primary threats from this system will be strong winds and large hail. Isolated tornadic activity certainly can't be ruled out of the equation.

Two die following crash

Thirty six year old Linnie Coleman was pronounced dead at a West Virginia hospital Thursday night and forty year old Jamie Dotson of Phelps died at the scene of a car crash in Pike County.

Police say a pick-up truck was going east on Kentucky 194 in Freeburn when the driver lost control and hit a culvert.

Two other people in the truck, Donnie Blankenship and Kevin Downey, were taken to a hospital in Huntington.
