Two home invasions in Laurel County in a 24 hour period and both times the victims defend themselves.
Thursday night we told you about a man who shot and injured one of three robbers in his home when he felt his daughter's life was threatened.
On Friday night, a second home invasion happened in Laurel County.
This time the suspect knocked on the door and he was standing there with a gun.
“The woman scuffled with the man long enough for her husband to get his sawed off shotgun and he backed the suspect out the door and the suspect fled back to his residence,” Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Gilbert Acciardo said.
Deputy Gilbert Acciardo says he is noticing more people are arming themselves and are prepared to fight back if they should one day become a victim.
