Two teachers are disciplined in connection with alleged cheating on ACT exams

Two Perry County teachers are disciplined in connection with alleged cheating on ACT exams.

The Hazard Herald reports Kimberly Dixon and Denisa Combs, who have both maintained their innocence, agreed to orders after acknowledging they could be found in violation of state law if presented at a hearing.

The Education Professional Standards Board found student answer sheets were manipulated by people other than the test takers at Perry Central in 2009 and 2010.

Among several probationary conditions, the board banned both women from participating in any state-mandated testing.
