Brindle Ridge Rd is in an otherwise friendly, farmland filled part of Rockcastle County where people like Plese Brock, Jr. will great you with a handshake and smile. And he says his neighbors are much the same. “They’re good people. They don’t bother nobody,” he says of the victims of the Tuesday night home invasion.
“He said they were tied up at gunpoint and that they had taken of bunch of jewelry,” said Brock of hearing what happened to his neighbors.
It happened about 10 o’clock Tuesday night and Brock says the thieves used duct tape to tie up the victims. “I think it’s bad when people work and someone breaks in and steals your stuff instead of getting out and working for it as well,” he said.
Police say the robbery was committed by two men about 5’6” with a tall, slender build with red and black hoodies and bandannas over their faces. Brock says he’s heard of similar crimes in the area. “Around here there is a lot of breaking in, usually it’s the same people who have been caught in other places,” he said.
Until they’re caught, people say they’re going to be cautious. “They could have another place staked out tonight,” said Brock. The victims were not hurt in the robbery.
