LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A University of Kentucky College of Law graduate has been named a Legend of the Law.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the honor was bestowed on Harlan native Michael Wilder during a recent ceremony at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. Wilder, who graduated from the UK College of Law in 1978, was among 10 lawyers who received a Burton Award in recognition of their expertise and their work.
Although successful now, Wilder dropped out of college the first time he attended and drifted a while before finding his passion. He says he hopes his story can inspire others to follow their passion, noting that success can follow.
