JACKSON, Ky. (WYMT) - A Kentucky State Police Tactical Team is being called in to execute a search warrant inside the home where a standoff has taken place in Breathitt County.
The Jackson Fire Department Public Information Officer tells us crews originally responded to a fight between two males on Broadway Spur in Jackson.
That complaint turned into shots fired around 4:00 Tuesday morning.
The Jackson Fire Department is assisting Kentucky State Police and Jackson Police with this incident.
It is unclear at this time if both males are inside the residence.
Crews have tried to make contact with the residents through multiple ways, but have been unsuccessful.
A judge signed a search warrant allowing the tactical team to make entry into the residence.
Jackson City Independent School is open but currently on lock down at this time.
