Slick roads will greet most folks as you head out the door this morning, so take your time on that commute. Most of the major rivers have started to drop, but there is still some flooding in some areas. Keep it locked to WYMT for updates.
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Some folks in Pike County gathered at the University of Pikeville Thursday to talk about how to grow business in the area.
Jack Miner was the guest speaker from the University of Michigan.
He is a venture capitalist and talked to the groups about several of his past experiences in hopes that folks here can also try to build business in times of economic decline.
"The community is not alone. A lot of people have gone through what they have, or what we are as a country and especially in rural areas," said Miner.
The Coleman College of Business hosted the luncheon.
Several local officials and members of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce were there.
