UPIKE student stabbed during fight at night club

Posted: Mon 9:06 AM, Jan 30, 2012

Police say a stabbing in Mingo County, West Virginia early Sunday started with a fight over a girl.

Our sister station learned University of Pikeville student Brandon Teasley was dancing with a girl at Yesterday's Night Club in Williamson.

Witnesses told police the girl had a boyfriend, who later stabbed Teasley in the back and cut him all the way around his side.

No arrest has been made at this time, and the suspect's name hasn't yet been released.

Police say the situation escalated into a huge fight involving dozens of people outside of the bar. That's when another man, Demetri Travis, received a concussion. He was also taken to the hospital
