WASHINGTON D.C. (WYMT) - The U.S. House has approved a resolution that will keep the government operating until March.
It was a move the House Appropriations Chair, Hal Rogers, applauded.
“The end of the fiscal year is September 30th. The Senate has failed to produce their appropriations bills for the next year. So we had to pass a resolution continuing the government as it is from last year until Fiscal 13,” U.S. Representative Hal Rogers said.
Rogers says they cannot keep relying on short term funding band aids.
The senate is expected to pass the resolution next week.
