BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Democratic United States Senate Candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes, who is running against Senator Mitch McConnell, campaigned in Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday.
She made stops in Whitley, Knox and Bell Counties.
On the steps of the Knox County Courthouse, she talked to voters about her jobs plan and her ideas to help the coal industry and create new jobs for Kentucky's middle class.
"We will fight in the United States Senate to finally put Kentucky, especially coal, as a prime American export back where it belongs and should be and make sure we diversify our economy," said Grimes.
Grimes has more campaign stops planned on Thursday in Leslie, Perry, Clay, Knott, and Powell Counties.
