U.S. Postal Service release deadlines for Christmas deliveries

The U.S. Postal Service expects to deliver 16.5 billion cards, letters and packages between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.

The service has a few mail-by dates to make sure that gifts arrive on time for Christmas Day.

Here are those deadlines:

December 10: To reach Military members serving overseas

December 15: Parcel Post

December 20: First Class Mail

December 21: Priority Mail
