FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth will seek a fourth term in Congress.
The Louisville Democrat filed candidacy papers on Monday at the state Capitol in Frankfort.
Yarmuth, who has represented the Louisville area's 3rd District since 2007, was one of the few Democratic officeholders in Kentucky to endorse President Barack Obama for election in 2008.
Yarmuth is the first member of Kentucky's federal delegation to officially file for re-election.
One of the members, Republican Rep. Geoff Davis, has said he won't seek re-election.
