Severe weather looks likely on Saturday afternoon. The best chances appear to be between 2 p.m. Saturday and Midnight. Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and an isolated tornado or two are possible. The area at the greatest risk for severe weather in eastern Kentucky is in the Cumberland Valley, near the I-75 corridor. Keep it locked here for updates.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has signed off in Baghdad to officially end the nine year war in that country.
Several high level U.S. leaders took part in the ceremony, which retired the U.S./Iraq forces flag.
American troops went to the middle eastern country in March of 2003.
The final troops will be out of the country by years end.
