A slow moving cold front will bring rain back to the mountains Tuesday afternoon and evening. Some storms could contain heavy rain and could lead to new flash flooding. Keep an eye on water levels in flood prone areas and do not cross flooded roadways.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Jobless rates have declined in most
Kentucky counties, though several still wrestle with widespread
The Office of Employment and Training released figures Thursday
showing unemployment rates improved in November in 114 counties and
worsened in six.
Woodford County reported the lowest jobless rate at 6.3 percent,
followed by Ohio County at 6.6 percent and Fayette County at 6.7
percent. Caldwell and Daviess counties each reported a 7 percent
unemployment rate for the month.
Jackson County's 15.1 percent unemployment rate was the highest
in the state. Fulton and Magoffin counties were next at 14.2
percent and 14 percent respectively. McCreary and Meade counties
were both above 13 percent.
