Woman heading to Lexington ripped off at Florida airport

How many times have you gone through airport security, and almost left something in one of those security bins? Now video has surfaced of a woman, who was heading to Lexington, getting ripped off has surfaced.

WKYT was tipped off Tuesday night to security video just released from the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Gloria de Regalado realized too late she had left her $6,500 Rolex watch and a piece of jewelry in a bin. The video shows a man behind her, looking around for a moment, and then snatching the pricey Rolex.

Meanwhile, the watch was a 40th birthday gift from her husband. Also gone, a cherished bracelet with a crucifix that she wore every day. The 43-year old mother of three says the thief had the opportunity to do the right thing, but he didn't.

Gloria de Regalado was heading to board a flight to Lexington when the theft happened.

The sheriff's office is still looking for the man in the video who may have landed in Dallas or Charlotte. There's a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. Investigators say they've subpoenaed passengers lists from several flights.
