Vigil held for young girl killed one year ago

Dozens of people remember a ten year old girl who died one year ago on June 28th.

A candlelight vigil was held in Inez in honor of Destiny Brewer.

She died in a head-on crash last year that was caused by a man who police say was driving under the influence of drugs.

Friends and family members say destiny will never be forgotten.

“Everybody loved Destiny, I mean the outpouring of people that has called and sent flowers and come to the house and come to the hospital and come to the funeral,” Blance Robinson said.

Ross Brandon Sluss was convicted of murder in connection with the crash and sentenced to life in prison.
