Hazard, KY. A company looking to hire Kentuckians held a job fair Monday that people could attend from their home computer--for jobs they can do from their home computer.
Kentucky Teleworks hosted a job fair online featuring American Support. The company hopes to hire around 50 people for telemarketing jobs.
The online presentation also includes links for prospective applicants to check if their computers are compatible with American Support's system.
Michael Cornett of the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program noted that if people do not have access to computers that meet those standards, the Hazard-based Teleworks hub is available.
He also said this fair brings people in touch with trustworthy work-at-home options.
"It brings access to quality, full-time, vetted, legitimate, work-from-home job opportunities to the region without having to bring bricks and mortar and recruiting new companies to come here."
Another virtual fair is scheduled for 5:00 Monday. A link is located below this story's picture.
