HARLAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Friends say there is a hole in the community from the loss of an entire family.

Gary and Patricia Caldwell are being remembered for their love of their family, friends, and entire community.

Friends say the couple dedicated their lives to helping others, whether it was children in the school systems, people in church, or others in the community.

Friends say the Caldwells and their daughter and her husband, Julia and Brent Robinson, will never be forgotten.

“Gary and Patty were Christians. Their fate is secure. They’re in a wonderful place right now. They had great faith. The loss is ours.
They are very much at peace right now,” Denham York said.

Friends say the family could never be replaced.

The pastor says buses full of people from Letcher County and other surrounding areas are expected at the church.

The funeral is Friday.
