Vote possible on delaying primary election in Ky.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - A proposal to move Kentucky's primary election from May to August is scheduled for a committee vote on Wednesday.

Senate President David Williams is sponsoring the legislation that's on the agenda for a noon EDT meeting of the State and Local Government Committee.

The Burkesville Republican's bill also would move the filing deadline from the last day of January to the last day of April.

Williams filed the bill last week.
