A slow moving cold front will bring rain back to the mountains Tuesday afternoon and evening. Some storms could contain heavy rain and could lead to new flash flooding. Keep an eye on water levels in flood prone areas and do not cross flooded roadways.
CINCINNATI, Oh. (WYMT) - WYMT-TV can now add "Emmy award winning" to its list of credentials.
The station was recognized at the 49th Annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards in Cincinnati Saturday night.
WYMT won for its broadcast during the tornado outbreak on March 2, 2012.
WYMT News Director, Steve Hensley, said hard work helped bring the Emmy back to Hazard, "This is the first Emmy win for our station, and it's the direct result of many people putting in many long hours to serve our communities," said Hensley.
Hensley also dedicated the award to those who lost their lives in the tornadoes, "Finally I want to dedicate this to all the victims of the March 2, 2012 tornado outbreak, 25 people died in Kentucky, and this is for you," he said.
