Severe weather looks likely later this afternoon. The best chances appear to be between 3 p.m. and Midnight. Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and an isolated tornado or two are possible. The area at the greatest risk for severe weather in eastern Kentucky is in the Cumberland Valley, near the I-75 corridor. Keep it locked here for updates.
HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - It is not known if the frigid temperatures are to blame for a water line break that's affecting the Hazard ARH in Hazard.
It happened near Ponderosa Restaurant on Morton Boulevard.
City Manager Carlos Combs estimates around two hundred homes are without water.
The Hazard ARH has also been without running water for several hours.
The fire department is delivering water to the hospital so they will have heat.
Crews are still working to fix the problem, but hope to have the water back on for most folks.
Once the water is back on, there will be a boil water advisory.
