A few bands of snow showers continue to move through the area this morning, adding on to the spots of black ice we're already seeing across the area. The snow should start to wrap up by late morning, but the travel issues will continue into the afternoon hours. Keep it locked here for updates.
A water line break at the Big Elk Pump Station near Warfield has caused problems in Martin County.
The break is repaired, and water district officials say all customers should have water.
However, the pressure may not be back to normal yet.
Officials say the break happened at an underground pump station.
Officials say the equipment is more than 40 years old and that is what likely caused the break.
Customers from Route 40 on Buck Creek to the Pike County line need to boil water until tests show the water is acceptable quality.
“People get scared of boil water. This is simply a safety precaution the water district uses to protect citizens, customers,” Joe Hammond said.
Officials say the boil water advisory will probably last a few days.
