Water project could be moving forward

A system to connect the water systems of the Tri-Cities in Harlan County appears to be moving forward.

If all things go according to plans, work could begin as early as the spring.

Two members of each city sit on the board that is in charge of the interconnect.

Money to build the system will come from a grant.

You may remember, in previous months, Cumberland and Lynch have been back and forth on whether to move forward with the project.
As of now it appears all cities are on the same page for now.
