WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WYMT/WSAZ) -- Three family members from Fort Gay recently were arrested on drug charges after allegedly trading pain pills and information for electronics and other property, according to a news release from the Wayne County Sheriff's Department.
David Claude Bartram Sr., 68; Mary Lynne Bartram, 61; and David Claude Bartram Jr., 39, all were arrested Sunday. Each of the suspects was charged with six counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Bond for each suspect was set at $100,000.
Deputies seized several oxycodone pills, about $7,400 cash, 38 assorted firearms, assorted food stamp cards from Kentucky, clothing vouchers, computers, drug ledgers, pain clinic contacts in Georgia, assorted records of drug runners and various ID cards.
At least two of the weapons were determined to have been stolen.
A drug-related search warrant was obtained based on evidence that the family was trading oxycodone pills for property including electronics. Members of the Fort Gay Police Department assisted in the search.
