Weather service reports tornado hits homes in Western KY

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The National Weather Service says a tornado has caused significant damage to homes near Glendale in Hardin County in central Kentucky.

No injuries have been reported. Tornado watches and warnings were continuing through the area Wednesday morning.

The weather service says on its website that a factory in the Hardin County area was also badly damaged, as well as an area northwest of Hodgenville.

The tornado was spawned by a strong line of storms that rumbled across portions of Kentucky on Wednesday morning. The weather service issued a series of tornado warnings across portions of central Kentucky.
