WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WYMT/WSAZ) - Several suspicious fires now have a suspect locked up.

Witnesses told fire investigators Alice Stephenson set fires in Miller Fork, Blankenship Road and Union Ridge areas of Wayne County.

West Virginia State Police arrested her on Friday.

Stephenson faces five counts of arson, one count of assault on a police officer and obstruction charges.

It's still unclear why those fires were started. State Police said they were all set within the span of a few hours on Friday.
