The flood waters are beginning to slowly recede across most of Eastern Kentucky and the snow showers are coming to an end. Roads will remain slick tonight as temperatures drop below zero. CUMBERLAND, Ky. (WYMT/Harlan Daily Enterprise) - The wind is being blamed for damaging a home in Harlan County.
The Harlan Daily Enterprise reports a home in the New York section of Cumberland was hit by high winds Friday morning.
Meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Jackson told the paper a mountain wave, which is wind funneled into the valley from Black Mountain, is likely to blame.
No one was hurt.
