Wise County schools cuts classes due to decreasing budgets

The lack of funding and decreasing enrollment is also forcing officials with Wise County, Virginia schools to cut some classes.

The Coalfield Progress reports board officials have slashed drama courses out of the high school curriculum completely and either eliminated or reduced courses with low admission.

Wise County schools superintendent Jeff Perry told the paper the system's operating budget has decreased by more than 10 million dollars in the last four years.
