Woman accepts plea deal in animal cruelty case

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - A Floyd County woman accepted a plea deal in an animal cruelty case.

The Floyd County Times reports Vanessa Howard pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges.

She originally faced 30 counts of animal cruelty.

As part of the agreement, Howard will spend two years on probation and cannot have animals during that period.

Howard must also pay the Floyd County Animal Shelter and Dr. Rudolph Ousley more than four thousand dollars in restitution.
