HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - A Perry County woman is calling for more secure centers for custody exchanges.

In January, three of Missy Cornett's family members were shot and killed when police say Dalton Stidham gunned them down during what was supposed to be a custodial exchange.

It happened in the parking lot of Hazard Community and Technical College.

Missy Cornett says she believes if more protection was offered, her family members would be alive today.

Stidham has pleaded not guilty in the case.
